Central Railway Starts 14 More AC Local Trains for People Traveling in Mumbai

Mumbai Local Train Update: Traveling around Mumbai just got cooler for the people who live there! Central Railway (CR) has announced that they are starting 14 new air-conditioned local trains on their main train line starting on April 16th. Because of these extra trains, the total number of AC local train trips during the week will go up from 66 to 80. This will make traveling more comfortable for passengers, especially during the hottest part of the summer.

New Timetable for Mumbai AC Local Trains

The new AC trains will run from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays and public holidays, the regular non-AC trains will still run on these routes. This change was made because more people want cool and easy ways to travel when it’s hot in the summer.

CR said that these new AC train trips will take the place of some of the regular non-AC train trips. This means the total number of all local train trips in Mumbai will stay the same at 1,810 per day. The new schedule is planned to help people who go to work, people who travel during the day, and people who travel late at night.

Important Things About the Mumbai AC Train Timetable

The timetable includes new train trips going to and coming from places like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Kalyan, Thane, and Badlapur. Here are some important details:

• There will be an AC local train that leaves Kalyan in the morning at 7:34 AM and gets to CSMT at 9:05 AM.
• There will be a train that leaves Badlapur very late at night, at 11:04 PM, and will stop at Thane by midnight.

Also, the trains going towards CSMT will start earlier. The first AC local will leave at 6:26 AM to Kalyan, and another one will run until the last train to Badlapur at 9:08 PM.

According to the people in charge at Central Railway, AC local trains have become very popular, especially when it’s hot in the summer. A senior railway officer said, “People really like the AC local trains. They give much-needed relief from the heat, letting people travel comfortably without changing how often the trains run overall.”
